Seeking Information
I'm looking for information regarding a Madelyn Lynsky born about 1915ish in Massachusetts(probably Boston) and lived in Mt Carmel, CT around 1990 as confirmed by my Great Grandmother's obituary from 1990). I found a 1950 census from New Haven that I believe lists her in New Haven. I believe her maiden name would have been Silva. |

Never Knew
Hello. I took an Ancestry DNA test during covid and discovered much. Most interesting discovery was my maternal great grandmother's name Katherine Sheeran who emigrated from Mayo County, someone my immediate family knew nothing about. She was the granddaughter of Bridget Lynskey and Terrence Devaney. Brian |

William Gaston Lynskey's Tree Feeder
I stumbled across this site largely on accident as I was looking for information about an old "Tree Feeder" I found in the office... A post by Jim Biller, Nov 9, 1999 may be one of the few available sources on this interesting piece of arboriculture history. Just wanted to express my gratitude for the post and this website. We "tree guys" don't always write everything down and as a result it can be difficult to find much about anything tree-care related before 1990 (and sometimes even after!). So...thank you! |

Hi to all the Lynskey families, it has been quite some time since I was last on this sites.
I am still searching information on my family from Walhalla, Victoria Australia. My great grandparents were Patrick Lynskey and Margaret McGrath, they arrived in Australia in 1858 ish, Patrick was born in 1833 County Galway, I'm not sure where Margaret is from. It would be great to hear from anyone who has a link to me. I hope that I can fill in some missing pieces to my story and find out who else I am related to. Have a wonderful day Annie |

Alice Linskay
Hello, My Alice Linskay/Linskey/Lynskey etc married William Paton/Paten/ etc in Bathurst, NSW Australia in 1842. I think she may be Alice or Eliza Danaher married Thomas Lynskey in Sydney 1837. She married again in 1852 to John Smith so her death certificate states Alice Smith, father Lynsky. Her son inlaw Samuel Thornberry was the informant on the death certificate. I know that one of her daughters was married to Samuel Thornberry so 100% sure it is the Alice I am trying to trace. Would appreciate any help. Regards Cheryl |
